01
Arrival at Kathmandu meeting Dorjee at the airport, transfer to Hotel. Evening, get-acquainted banquet with traditional Nepalies food and question and answer session about the trek

Rise at sunrise to walk to Swayambhunath ("Monkey Temple"), a famous Buddhist and Hindu shrine. Breakfast at Mike's in the outdoor garden. Sightseeing tours of Kathmandu and the Hindu shrine at Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and Bhaktapur

Morning fly to Tumlingtar and stay overnight in Tumlingtar.Meet all staff and porters.

We walk north towards Khandbari(1040m), then begin walkingon a plateau. We continue walking through many small picturesque villages most of the time the walk is uphill and you will be walking through bamboo groves and a rhododendron forest. Camp at Pang Ma(1280m).

Today we start walking with views of snow capped peaks in the distance. You will see fantastic views of Makalu and its surronding peaks and camp will be Num(1490m).

The trail today descends steeply from Num through the corn field of Lumbang. The country is particularly rocky, tiny terrace planted with corn and barly. Camp will be Sedua(2070m).

You will see the Sherpa village of Tashi Gaon(2070m), the last one permanent settlement in the village and stay over night thre

A very hard day of the trek as the trail goes up real steep. We walk through the sparse forests along the ridge over a hillock and descend a bit to Kauma(3470m), camp

Rest day for acclimatization

Walk through rhododendron forests to th top of the ridge. You will have a superb views of Chamlang(7290m), Peak 6 and Peak 7. Camp will be at Mumbuk(3570m).

Today the trail is ill defined, rocky and sloppy mud in place as it leads up the glacial valley. From here you can have a good view of Peak 6 and your camp today Nhe Kharka(3000m), from where you can see the panoramic views of mountains.

The way turns westward and leaves the rhododendron forests for alpine tundra. There are excellent views of Pyramid Peak(7168m), and Peak 4(6720m). Your camp will be at Sherson(4615m).

Today is gradual climb to a minor pass about 100m. From where you will have a magnificent south face views of Makalu also you will see the complete panorama of Everest and Lhotse. Your camp will be at Makalu B. C.(5000m.).

Rest day

We retrace back down the Barun Valley and camp will be Nhe Kharka.

We continue descending back and camp is at Mumbuk

We trek across Shipton La and descend to camp Kurma

Today your camp will be Tashi Gaon, you can buy beer or wine and buy some local wine or beer for porters, evening singing and dancing

Walk through farming settlements to the spread out Rai village. Continue in forests past several streams to get your camp Pukuwa

Walk through the forests and follows some spectacular high and exposed narrow tracks as it climbs over rocky ridges and camp will be at the Chhetri village of Bumling.

Follow the east bank of the Arun river and the route passes through Chyawabest before making a short climb back to Tumlingtar and over nihgt there. Party at evening with all porters, and staff
